The Chimelong Penguin Hotel opened for business on Feb. 19, the first day of the Chinese New Year. This is the third themed hotel developed by the company after the Circus Hotel and the Hengqin Bay Hotel, at the Chimelong international ocean tourism resort in Zhuhai's Hengqin District.

The Penguin Hotel has 180,000 square meters of floor space and up to 5,000 guest rooms, including 2,000 themed ones, which offer considerable capacity for accommodating large groups as well providing flexibility with a wide price range.
The hotel features "penguin" themes everywhere, especially in its interior decoration. In the hotel lobby, a giant penguin sculpture 13.8 meter high is the hotel's icon. The first batch of guests said they felt they were in a fairy tale from the moment they saw the penguin as they stepped inside.
"Dining with Penguin" is another unique feature. The hotel has an "Emperor Penguin Cafeteria" that enable guests to enjoy meals while observing penguins in close proximity with no need to endure the cold by travelling to the Antarctica.
Guests staying at the hotel have exclusive passageway to the Ocean Kingdom. The Circus Hotel is merely two minutes walk away, the International Circus City five minutes and the Hengqin Bay Hotel less than 10 minutes. There is a free shuttle bus service between different hotels to provide convenience to those who'd rather not walk.
