The number of Japanese enterprises in China is on the rise as they hold bullish view on the Chinese market, a recent survey showed.

Recent data from Teikoku Databank, a survey company, showed that the number of Japanese enterprises in China reached 13, 934 by August, 2016, increasing by 5 percent compared to June 2015.

Among the companies, some 42 percent, or 5,853 companies, were from the manufacturing sector, the most in all sectors, while 4,633 were from wholesale trade sector and 1,705 from service sector, accounting for 33.2 percent and 12.2 percent respectively.

Companies in retailing trade sector, though still a small proportion, increased with the fastest pace, by 20 percent to 503.

According to the survey report, the increase was largely due to the Japanese companies' bullish view on the Chinese market.

With a population of over 1.3 billion people, China has a huge market that the Japanese companies can't ignore, said the report.
