The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) will make great contribution to the world thanks to the concepts mentioned in a key report to the congress, according to analysts.
The report calls on people of all countries to work together to build a community with a shared future for mankind, to build an open, inclusive, clean, and beautiful world that enjoys lasting peace, universal security, and common prosperity.
Hu Angang, director of the Center for China Studies at Tsinghua University in Beijing, saw the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind as one of the CPC's significant contribution to the world.
"A community with a shared future for mankind means a community of shared interests and development," Hu told Xinhua. The report gives a clear framework for the concept, he added.
"After colonialism, imperialism and hegemonism over the past 500 years or so, the world is bracing for 'win-winism' as embodied by a community with a shared future for mankind," he said.
The report said China will work to contribute to narrowing the South-North gap in development.
Marije Vlaskamp, China correspondent for the Dutch newspaper de Volkskrant, hailed China's increasingly important international role.
"China has become more self-confident internationally and taken more initiatives, like the Belt and Road Initiative and various economic and diplomatic cooperation projects with Europe and the United States," said Vlaskamp, who is covering the congress.
"China also focuses on neighboring countries and Africa. South-South relations are very important for China, which has always been like that in China's traditional diplomacy," said the reporter who has been in China for 17 years.
China now has a lot to offer in terms of economic cooperation to countries which are still in a low stage of economic development, she said, adding that the congress is very important not only for Chinese people, but also for people in other countries.
"China has a much more important role in the world," she said.
