A disciplined services joint exhibition to celebrate the 10th
anniversary of Hong Kong's return to mainland has started at the
Piazza Areas of the Hong Kong Cultural Center, Tsim Sha Tsui in
Kowloon on Saturday.
Xinhua News Agency reported that the two-day exhibition,
organized by the Security Bureau in conjunction with eight
disciplined services, is a showcase of achievements by disciplined
services over the past decade, including special equipment
displays, rescue demonstrations and live performances.
An opening ceremony, led by the Secretary for Security Mr
Ambrose Lee, and heads of the eight disciplined services, was held
on Saturday at 10.30 AM.
The exhibition will give the public a better understanding about
disciplined services work, of the officers' commitment to provide
quality services, and to the broader topic of Hong Kong's security
and prosperity, said the report.
Hong Kong's reputation as one of the safest cities in the world
is public recognition of the work of its disciplined services. The
eight disciplinary forces are the: Hong Kong Police Force,
Immigration Department, Customs and Excise Department, Fire
Services Department, Correctional Services Department, Government
Flying Service, Civil Aid Service and Auxiliary Medical
Service.
