Adjust font size:

A Taiwan man was sentenced to two years in prison for his collection of 32 guns by a Shanghai court.

Liu Liyuan, a Taibei County native, came to the mainland in 2002. He worked as the general manger of a Shanghai department store before he was arrested, the Changning District People's Court said.

The accused said he was fond of collecting guns and some were bought from roadside stalls or via on-line stores. Of his collection, four could cause some destruction.

He also made a target and practiced shooting in his spare time, the court heard. Liu received a lighter sentence for pleading guilty.
