China's anti-corruption chief He Guoqiang Thursday said no violations have been discovered with the fund management of the post-Sichuan-earthquake reconstruction.
He, a Standing Committee member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, made the remark at a meeting on the supervision and inspection of both the post-quake reconstruction and work to expand domestic demand, held here.
He listened to the report from the three quake-affected provinces of Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu, and three other provinces involved in reconstruction, Jiangsu, Fujian and Shandong, as well as relevant government agencies, such as the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Ministry of Finance.
He said, this year is crucial for the post-quake reconstruction. He urged local authorities and relevant departments to take measures to prevent abuse or waste of funds and ensure projects quality.
On May 12, 2008, a 8-magnitude earthquake hit Wenchuan of Sichuan Province and affected adversely parts of Shaanxi and Gansu provinces, leaving almost 90,000 people dead or missing.
