Macao reports one newly confirmed A/H1N1 case

The Health Bureau of Macao Friday reported one newly confirmed case of A/H1N1 flu, bringing the number of such cases to 3,608 so far.

According to the bureau, there was no collective flu outbreak reported Friday, and of the total A/H1N1 flu cases in Macao, two patients died.

Fourteen people were inoculated with the A/H1N1 flu vaccines Friday and a total of 115,862 people have been inoculated since the bureau initiated the inoculation last November.

The Macao Special Administration Region government has announced a purchase of some 700,000 doses of A/H1N1 vaccines.

It said medical staff, children, old people and patients with chronic disease were the first to be inoculated with the vaccines.
