A fire at a company dormitory killed five and injured one in east China's Shandong Province early Sunday, fire fighters said.

The dormitory in Jimo City, Qingdao City, is owned by Shengyuan Packing Co. Ltd.

The blaze erupted at about 3:50 a.m. and was extinguished at 4:20 a.m.

The fire is believed to have been deliberately set. Police have arrested one person in connection to the case.
