Children who have been found selling newspapers in buses at a higher price in the name of collecting money for disaster relief have stirred up a debate in Haikou, Hainan province.

A boy, who was selling newspapers for 2 yuan each, said all the money he earns would be donated to children in disaster-hit areas. When a woman handed him a 5-yuan note for a newspaper, the boy did not return the change, saying those who donate to charity should not demand change.

The enraged woman snatched her money back from the boy.

Many witnesses believe street hawkers are only trying to trick people to make some extra cash.
