Taiwan ex-leader's wife jailed for 17 years and 6 months

The Taiwan High Court sentenced Wu Shu-chen, wife of former Taiwan leader Chen Shui-bian, to a combined jail term of 17 years and six months on Monday for corruption.
Wu was also fined 154 million New Taiwan dollars (5 million U.S. dollars).
On Dec. 6, Chen Shui-bian was also sentenced to 17 years, 6 months in jail.
Chen is now at prison. It is the first time that an ex-leader of Taiwan has been jailed
