The "Experience China" advertising campaign that offers a link to the multi-language-news website China.org.cn debuted on the CNN international edition homepage on Jan. 20, where it was displayed prominently for 24 hours.

Coinciding with President Hu's US state visit, the Chinese government has launched a new global campaign to boost China's image. A major feature of the campaign is a 30-second commercial to be aired on mainstream international media. It presents a multi-dimensional and vivid image of Chinese people. In addition, a 15-minute film will be screened at Chinese embassies at major events.
As a part of the campaign, China.org.cn has made great efforts to promote China's image and convey authoritative voices to world since its founding in September 2000. It provides up-to-date news about China and offers abundant information on Chinese history, politics, economics and culture.
Co-founded by the State Council Information Office and China International Publishing Group (CIPG), the site offers news in 10 different languages: Chinese, English, French, German, Japanese, Russian, Spanish, Arabic, Korean and Esperanto. More than 40 percent of its visitors are from overseas, coming from 200 countries and regions. It aims to show an authentic China to the world and reflect the opinions of Chinese internet users.
