Qinghai's department store catches fire

Massive fire outbroke in the textile building at a large department store in Xining, capital of Qinghai Province, on April 9, 2011. [Hou Deqiang/Xinhua]
Massive fire outbroke in the textile building at a large department store in Xining, capital of Qinghai Province, at around 3 p.m. today. No casualty is reported so far.

Fire fighters are battling to put out the fire. Some people are trapped atop of the building, which is surrounded by heavy smokes. Two of the trapped people were brought out and sent to hospital.

The cause of the fire is still pending for investigation.
