The scene of the road accident [Xinhua]

Eight people were killed and 22 others injured in a road accident in south China's Guangdong Province on Saturday, local government sources said.

The accident occurred at 3 p.m. at the highway in Boluo County, Huizhou City, where a truck, out of control after hitting a car, crashed into a coming coach, said a spokesman with the provincial government emergency response office.

The injured were rushed to hospital and the cause of the accident is under investigation.
