One person was killed and another seven are still missing after two boats collided in north China's Bohai Bay on Friday, emergency management authority of east China's Shandong Province said Saturday.

A fishing boat registered in Shandong collided with a maritime law enforcement boat near Bohai Bay's Huanghua Harbor, which is located in Hebei Province, an official from the emergency management authority said.

Nine sailors were on the fishing boat when the collision occurred. One of the sailors is currently receiving medical care. No reports of casualties on the maritime law enforcement boat have been received yet, according to the official.
