Three people died and at least nine others were injured in a pre-dawn pileup on an expressway in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Wednesday, police said.
The accident, which happened at 2 a.m. in Liujiang County, involved a bus, a truck and a van, the regional public security bureau said in a press release.
It said all the victims were on the bus.
Of the injured passengers, two were in a serious condition.
Investigators said the bus, en route from the southwestern Guizhou Province to Shenzhen, crashed into the truck that had pulled over for repairs.
