Man slightly hurt after self-immolation attempt

A man was slightly injured after setting himself on fire in Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in southwest China's Sichuan Province on Monday, local authorities said Tuesday.
Local police said they quickly extinguished the fire on a monastically dressed man who ignited his leg on Qiatangzhong Street in Aba County at 1 p.m.
It was not immediately known whether the man, Karangwangsho, is a Tibetan monk.
The local hospital said the man suffered only slight burns on his leg.
Police are investigating the man's motives.
