Vice Premier Wang Qishan Tuesday vowed to make ceaseless efforts to protect Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), as he believes China faces "an arduous and complicated task" in the fight against abusive copyright infringements.
Wang urged government authorities to launch regular and long-term campaigns to check the spread of shoddy products and practices that infringe upon copyrights.
The vice premier also called for the public to supervise IPR violations and poor practices that violate copyrights.
The Chinese government has been cracking down on IPR violations by launching frequent, high-profile raids and destroying seized materials.
A national campaign started in November last year, aiming to crack down on IPR violations as well as the production and distribution of fraudulent and shoddy products.
