Five people were killed and two injured after a coach collided with a truck in north China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Thursday.

The accident happened around 4 p.m. on a road in Hongmiaozi township in the city of Chifeng, local police said.

The injured have been hospitalized and the cause of the accident is under investigation.
