Three workers were killed in a landslide that occurred in a quarry in northwest China's Shaanxi province on Wednesday, said a spokesman with the Jingyang county government.
Two of the workers died after emergency rescue personnel failed to revive them, while the third was found dead in the rubble, the spokesman said.
The landslide occurred in Xijiming Quarry in Jingyang county around 11 a.m., a government spokesman said.
The quarry's manager, a man surnamed Xi, has been detained by police.
The cause of the landslide is under investigation.
