Ten people were killed and two were injured in a road accident happened Saturday in Shandong Province, Xinhua reported.

The accident occurred at around 2 a.m. Saturday when a small passenger vehicle collided with a light truck in Weicheng district of Weifang city.  The two injured were in stable conditions.

The cause of the accident is being investigated, local authorities said.
