Three astronauts Jing Haipeng, Liu Wang and Liu Yang, who successfully completed China's first manned space docking mission, arrived in Macao Monday afternoon for a three-day visit.
The 40-plus-member delegation comprises key commanders and designers of China's manned space program, including Niu Hongguang, deputy commander-in-chief of manned space program.
During their three-day stay in Macao, the three astronauts and other members of the delegation will meet Macao Chief Executive Chui Sai On Monday afternoon and attend a welcome dinner hosted by the Macao Special Administrative Region government.
They will give public lectures, talk with students and attend the evening welcoming party with more than 1,000 spectators on Tuesday. One thousand free tickets for the party were all distributed to Macao citizens within half an hour last Sunday.
On Wednesday, the delegation will visit Ruins of St. Paul, Macao Science Center and other places of interest before leaving for Beijing from Macao International Airport.
