Anti-telecom scam cop video, Gangnam-style

Local police have scored a big hit in the cyber world by producing an anti-telecom scam video which has garnered as much attention as the world's hottest cyber-sensation, Gangnam Style.
The video, Transfer Style, is based on a phone record of a police officer, impersonating as a victim, and the suspects and illustrates how the swindlers scam people with a couple of phone calls and finally ask them to transfer money to their bank accounts.
"I received a scam message last Thursday and, besides forwarding it to 12110 (the police's SMS reporting number), I thought we could do something to alert people," said Lu Feng, a police officer who came up with the idea of Transfer Style. "I arranged a call to the number and Transfer Style was born."
The message sent to Lu said his medical care account had been suspended due to abnormal cashing and asked him to call an "authorized" number.
Li Wenyue, an officer of Xujing police station, made the call. Li was first asked to call the police's crime investigation corps by a woman who claimed to be from the medical care authority. Later the man who claimed to be from the crime investigation corps told Li to call the "bank authority" to ensure the safety of his accounts. Finally, the "bank authority" guy told Li to transfer money to him through an ATM machine.
The whole story is reenacted in a humorous manner, similar to South Korean phenom Psy's global hit.
The 16-minute footage was uploaded early Saturday morning and had earned nearly 2,500 reposts by yesterday afternoon at major microblog websites.
