China's UAV models will take off on their first flight soon, marking China's step forward in the fierce competition on the space battlefield.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) with independent intellectual property rights will be coming out soon and UAV with automatic tracking features are under construction. Additionally, the model vehicle, used for verifying unmanned combat key technology, is set to take off on its first flight soon, according to a recently released article by Science and Technology Daily.

"The future space battlefield can't be controlled by other countries' UAV only!" Professor with the Air Force Engineering University Huang Changqiang said. Huang and his team focus on a combination of the UAV and weapon system in their bid to reach higher ground in the field of UAV.

In just a few years, Huang and his team have made a series of important achievements regarding UAV research.

Besides the achievements mentioned in the first paragraph, Huang has also established the discipline of "unmanned spacecraft combat system and technology," as well as China's first master and doctoral spots on the matters of unmanned spacecraft combat system and technology.

What's more, the theoretical system of the intelligent attack mechanism as well as a combat simulation laboratory, have both been built successively, with a book on precision strike technology of unmanned aircrafts published as well.

Nowadays, the world of aviation equipment is developing into one of unmanned, stealth, intelligent and precision mechanisms. The United States army has already put the UAV to use on the battlefield and many other countries are now considering the development of UAV as a key aspect for any future equipment development.

At present, only the U.S. realized the UAV application in actual combat. Two countries so far have realized the first flight of stealth UAV: the U.S. and France. Three countries have built the prototypes, namely China, the U.S. and France. In addition, six more countries now intend to develop stealth UAV: China, the U.S., France, Britain, Russia and India. Four countries have started research on UAV: Sweden, Italy, Israel and Iran. Yet the club of stealth unmanned aerial vehicles is a so-called technology country club with a very high threshold at the entrance.

In the aircraft contest on the future battlefield, the globe's major aerospace technology countries have already invested a lot of manpower, material and financial resources, in order to ensure they won't get left out of the weapon technology revolution driven by stealth UAV.
