China sentences another 6 Tibetans over self-immolation case

A county court in Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of northwest China's Gansu Province Thursday sentenced six ethnic Tibetans to three to 12 years in prison for their roles in a local villager's self-immolation in October.

Also on Thursday, a court in Aba Tibetan-Qiang Autonomous Prefecture of southwest China's Sichuan Province sentenced two Tibetans to death with a two-year reprieve and 10 years in prison, respectively, for inciting eight people to self-immolate, three of whom died.
