The death toll from the 7.0-magnitude earthquake that hit southwest China's Sichuan Province on Saturday has risen to 193, with 25 missing, authorities said Tuesday.
According to Ministry of Civil Affairs,12, 211 people were injured, 968 of them seriously as of 6 p.m..
The quake's epicenter was in the city of Ya'an.
Rescuers have saved 320 people out of the rubbles by Monday noon, Sichuan provincial government said at a press briefing.
More than 22,000 soldiers and paramilitary officers are now deployed in the quake zone.
About 30,000 tents, 115,000 quilts, 10,000 garments, 9,000 boxes of instant noodles and 2,000 boxes of mineral water have been transported to the quake-hit region.
Sichuan government said power in 58 townships has been resumed after the earthquake cut 81 townships out of electricity.
