Liang Ya, a high-ranking manager of IBM's Shenzhen branch company, fell on the steps of a local Metro station at 10:29am. But while a passerby told Metro staff three minutes after her collapse, the single woman received no help until emergency workers arrived and found her dead at 11:18am, the report said.

Police had arrived 30 minutes after her collapse and spent the next 20 minutes waiting for the ambulance with Metro staff.

Liang's family members said she may have fainted due to hypoglycemia because she had not eaten breakfast. They complained that Liang might have been saved if someone had helped her with proper emergency treat-ment.

Surveillance video showed that Liang had raised her head twice and struggled to get up after falling down, sug-gesting she was alive at that time.

According to the video, seven people passed by Liang without helping during the three minutes before the male passerby reported her condition.
