The sculpture, which is supposed to be on exhibit in Guiyang from July 4 to August 24, reportedly disappeared on Wednesday last week, after the city saw days of heavy rainfall.

A large piece of yellow rubber was seen on river bottom after floodwaters receded Monday. It was confirmed to be part of the rubber duck, which presumably can no longer float.

A new Rubber Duck will arrive in Guiyang next week.
