August 22 will mark the 110th Birthday of former Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping.

Hong Kong will hold an exhibition to commemorate the late leader who formulated the "one country, two systems" principle that guided city's repatriation and development.

Over 400 old photos will be shown together with precious relics and manuscripts borrowed from the Memorial Hall located besides Deng Xiaoping's former home.

Gao Yi is the deputy secretary-general of the Party Literature Research Office of China's top advisory body that co-sponsors the exhibition.

"Hong Kong's development has proved that the 'one country, two systems' principle is correct and feasible. The city's long-term prosperity and stability was Deng Xiaoping's wish. I believe Hong Kong citizens can learn more about Deng Xiaoping and the meaning of this principle through the exhibition. It will have meaning to Hong Kong's future."

The 3-day exhibition will kick off at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center on August 21.

Deng's family members will also attend the opening ceremony.
