The ruling Communist Party of China (CPC), is always willing and ready to share its experience and information about itself with the outside world, a senior official, declared at the opening ceremony of the "Party and the World Dialogue 2014" in Beijing on Sept. 3.

China has become focus of world attention for its rapid growth. Those who are interested in China get information about it and its ruling Party via different channels, both first hand or through indirect access. However, the latter is often misleading and even prone to distortion, said Wang Jiarui, vice chairman of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference who heads the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.

A platform needs to be established for the CPC and the outside world to have direct exchanges and face-to-face dialogue, where the CPC could expound its ideas and policies to the world while cooperating with other countries to meet common challenges and problems, said Wang.

Wang said the CPC was a Party that doesn't turn away from its problems and mistakes, instead always striving for self improvement. Recently, for example, the country had been involved in an unprecedented fight against corruption that targeted both "tigers and flies."

Each country has its own characteristics and social system, said Wang. China hopes the outside world could understand more about its choice of development way.

The three-day Dialogue, with a theme of "China's New Reforms: The Role of the Party," gathered 60 scholars, experts and prominent political figures from over 30 countries engaged in long-time research on China.

Participants discussed the common tasks and challenges faced by China and other countries in their efforts for reform, possible solutions, and the effects China's reform will have on international and regional development. CPC officials also shared authoritative information on China's decision-making process, latest development and problems.

The Dialogue is the first of this kind held in China, although there is a plan for it to become a regular event, as many participants hoped, so that the rest of the world could gain up-to-date information on the development of China and its ruling Party in a direct way.
