Ten people were injured in an explosion at a restaurant this morning in Yinchuan, capital of northwest China‘s Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, the Xingqing branch of the Yinchuan Public Security Bureau said on its Weibo microblog.

Ten people were injured in an explosion at a restaurant this morning in Yinchuan, capital of northwest China’s Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

An explosion happened at a hotpot restaurant on Xinning Road around 9:40am due to gas tank leak, according to a preliminary investigation.

Two passers-by were injured along with eight restaurant staff. The injuries were not considered life threatening.

Authorities are still investigating the blast.
