An explosion suspectedly caused by a cooking gas cylinder killed six people and injured 19 others on Thursday evening in Ningming County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in south China, local authorities said.

An explosion suspectedly caused by a cooking gas cylinder killed six people and injured 19 others on Thursday evening in Ningming County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in south China.

The accident happened at a food stall near a supermarket around 09:30 p.m. The injured have been hospitalized and two of them are in critical conditions.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
