The general manager of car maintenance company in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, was imprisoned for kidnapping and sexually abusing a young woman. The man, surnamed Li, locked the young woman in his rented room, beat her and forced her to play sadomasochistic games with him, paralleling the plot of the erotic novel and film "Fifty Shades of Grey."

On March 26, Li was accused of illegal detention and rape by the local procuratorate.

Li is a successful business man. He is a general manager and owner of a car maintenance company, and receives an annual income of 800,000 yuan (US$130,246). He owns nice houses and cars. He had even set a goal for himself to become the boss of a listed company.

However, everything changed when he walked into a place of prostitution on Nov. 26, 2014. Li was attracted by a beautiful young woman at first sight. He gave her 300 yuan and drove her to his rented home.

During the over 40 hours that she was locked in Li's house, this young woman was beaten and sexually abused in bizarre ways several times. Li also starved her, giving her only two bananas and a little yogurt over the two days that he imprisoned her.

The girl's coworkers eventually called the police because they were worried about her absence.

Police found a large number of pornographic materials among Li's possessions, including hard disks containing pornographic flims and many different types of items used in sadomasochistic activities.

Li admitted that he became addicted to watching pornographic videos while in college, and he wanted to try the things that he saw happen in the films. In order to fulfill his strange sexual desires, he abducted and raped the young woman in imitation of the plot of many porn films.

Li said, "If someone could have warned me not to do bad things on that day, I would not have made a mistake. In doing so, I ruined my career and my whole life."

"As for my ex-girlfriends, I respected them all. If they were not willing, I would not have forced them to have sex with me," Li added.
