| A large amount of unusual foam appeared in the streets in Tianjin's coastal Binhai New Area as the rain fell on the morning of Aug. 18, the first rainfall after the Aug. 12 explosions. The Chief Engineer of the Tianjin Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau Bao Jingling said that the rain would bring down dust and other conventional pollutants from the blasts, and added that the water containing hazardous chemicals would not enter natural waters.
