Mistress knocks down pregnant wife, killing twin fetuses

On Aug. 2, Shandong police arrested a young woman for knocking down a pregnant woman, which subsequently caused the death of her twin fetuses, a local newspaper reported.
The young woman surnamed Sun was the mistress of the pregnant woman's husband. But Sun insisted that she had no intention of harming anyone and that the incident was an accident.
Mr. Zhao, a security guard at the hotel where the accident took place, said that around 8:40 p.m. on July 18, he rushed to the hotel's parking lot after hearing someone shouting, "Someone was knocked down."
When he arrived at the parking lot, he saw a pregnant woman lying on the floor near the passenger door of a Porsche car, while another young woman stood outside of a nearby white car.
Ten minutes later, an ambulance and a group of policemen arrived at the scene. The pregnant woman was sent to hospital, but her twin fetuses were confirmed dead.
According to the doctor of a nearby hospital, the victim suffered a range of internal organ damage, a bone fracture on the left leg, uterine rupture and a hysterectomy.
