The body of a 29-year-old female lawyer, who has been reported missing for more than a month in the Huashan Mountain in Shaanxi Province has been found with her identity confirmed, local police said yesterday.

Families and friends lost contract with Chen Wen from Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, in early August when she was travelling alone in the mountain.

Her body was found at the west peak of the mountain and was highly decayed, according to police.

Her identity was confirmed by DNA test.

All of Chen's friends and family members on WeChat, a prevalent daily social networking app, were blocked since she lost contact, and her mobile phone was turned off since August 2, her sister reportedly said.

Investigation is still under way to find out the case of her death.

In February, a Shanghai student who traveled alone in Huashan Mountain was also found dead, and his body was found on a hillside about 150 meters beneath a place known as Yingzui Peak, where he was spotted by a surveillance camera for the last time.

Police did not reveal details.
