After years of construction, the Zhuhai Grand Theater will give its premier performance, featuring the Russian National Symphony Orchestra, on December 31st and hold a concert to celebrate the New Year on the very first day of 2017.

According to the theater's schedule, performances embodying the cultures of Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macao will be presented in various forms, such as ballet, light music and drama, in the future.

The theater is expected to see about 120 performances, including 80 commercial ones and 40 charity performances each year. As ticket prices, the average price is no more than 220 yuan (32 dollars), while theater-goers in summer vacations can enjoy a more affordable price between 20-100 yuan (3-14 dollars). Discounts on tickets will be available from time to time.

Although the theater is located in Yelidao Island, it is not difficult to get there. The completion of the Xinyue Bridge will help facilitate commuting to and from the theater. The bridge is divided into different lanes for vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians. There are about 1,500 parking lots around the theater.

Zhuhai Grand Theater consists of one large opera hall with 1,550 seats and several smaller ones with 550 seats in total. Equipped with advanced facilities, the opera halls are able to provide the good audiovisual effects for everyone in the hall. The color design of the theater is another highlight. The theater is painted blue and the seats are painted yellow. The design reflects integrated scenery of beautiful sea, blue sky and golden beach.
