Title: Promoting Win-win Cooperation and Fostering Community of Shared Future

Abstract:

The concept of community of common destiny framed by China is a new interpretation of the foundation of international economic and social order. The Belt and Road Initiative is a pathway to such a community. It aims to build a transportation passageway and a bridge of communication based on connectivity. It also advocates a new mechanism for regional cooperation based on the core spirit of diversity and cooperation so as to achieve a community of common destiny among the countries involved. Lacking sufficient momentum for growth, the world economy is now at a crucial stage.

The countries along the Belt and Road should be aware of the importance of cooperation so that they can give full play to their comparative strengths and achieve common development. The initiative to join in building the Belt and Road is not only the achievements of Chinese wisdom, but also the common undertaking of the countries along the route. This International Seminar on the Belt and Road Initiative focuses on cooperation with local expertise. We encourage dialogue and communication, trying to provide a theoretical basis and intellectual support for the Belt and Road. The CASS has published its research results on the Belt and Road, and organized some events at the forum. It hopes to keep playing its role as a platform for dialogue, policy interpretation, suggestions and cooperation among the countries involved.
