Title: Expanding New Platform for Cooperation and Creating New Mechanism for Collaboration —Thoughts on Media Cooperation and Development Under Framework of the Belt and Road

Abstract

During the Belt and Road construction, the role that the media can play is reflected in two aspects. The first is promoting communication, enhancing trust and clarifying misunderstanding. The second is contributing to market interconnection and win-win cooperation. Regarding how to bring the media into full play in the Belt and Road construction, my opinion is structured around three points as follows:

First, expand new information platform and establish a new collaboration mechanism. The media should explore and take advantage of sharing platforms and collaboration mechanisms, including the Belt and Road international new media alliance and the multilingual news coverage service cloud platform.

Second, learn new technologies and promote business modes of the media. The media should adjust themselves to the trend of new media and new technology trend, and achieve accurate news feed, audience-division dissemination and visualized services through mobile and social media to meet different needs of difference audiences in different countries.

Third, stimulate service creativity and amplify new political and economic effect. The media should play an active role in information, communication and platform- building, to serve as a bridge connecting Chinese companies which "go global" and countries along the route which "come in." The media should contribute to information sharing for government departments and international organizations, and build platforms for government administration.
