Title: The Belt and Road Initiative and KBS Documentaries 'Super China' and 'Super Asia'
Abstract
The theme of the forum is "Media Cooperation and Development under the
Framework of the Belt and Road Initiative". I firstly want to use two episodes from KBS documentary "Super China" as a case study to offer a perspective on the theme. The fourth and fifth episodes of the seven-episode documentary are about the Belt and Road.
Episode 5—"Soft Power", focuses on the prototype of China's ancient Maritime Silk Road. "Super Asia", the sequel to "Super China", dedicates one episode to showing how Asia's rich natural resources and large population connect to the world. The episode is mainly about the Belt and Road. The railway, starting from Eastern Asia, through Central Asia and finally arriving in Europe, has been built. Video shows the production and logistics of cities along the cross-continent route from South Korea to China and then to Central Asia to demonstrate Asian power.
The Belt and Road Initiative proposed by President Xi is aimed to connect European and Asian markets, and explore a path for common development in the way overseas market and domestic construction are developed in tandem.
To ensure the expected success of the Belt and Road Initiative, I hope every expert, entrepreneur, and opinion maker attending the forum can engage in a sincere discussion and identify fields and categories for cooperation in the construction of the Belt and Road. Communication and seeking common ground will serve as the core concept of the successful construction of the Belt and Road.
