Due to the bilateral strategic relationship between Sudan and China in terms of economic, political, technological and cultural cooperation, Sudan can play a vital role in promoting the Belt and Road Initiative in Africa and Arab countries by disseminating the initiative, massage, benefits & outcomes through an effective use of media and journalism.
The Sudanese Journalism Union enjoys good relations with Chinese Journalism Union. It can provide technical support in the field of training, exchange of experiences and spread the information about the Belt and Road due to its leading positions, roles & relations with Federal Journalism and Unions of East & Central of Africa, as well as Arab Journalism Union. The training must be working on all axes, for example training in the field of journalism should include capacity building in the writing skills and how to access information, conduct interviews, writing headlines and other techniques and skills. Staff trainings should include newspapers design, photography, printing and writing, and other kinds of skills that will assist the journalism work.
In the field of television and radio, we need training techniques in radio and television. We also need to conduct research and acquire other skills which can assist broadcasters to face the screen and microphone. The training should enable the television and radio technicians to master the skills in photography, lighting, recording, directing, engineering, and all other art skills, as well as advanced digital methods in radio and television business as required.
In the field of electronic media, we can say that it is a new science and media. Professional journalists and editors can take advantage of the broadcast TV and radio channels via the internet.
The required training and rehabilitation of the media and journalism in Sudan definitely will help in the promotion of the programs, so the authorities will have the expertise in this area to help with the rehabilitation, focusing on optimizing performance and transmitting the message that you want to send in all countries and regions we have mentioned previously in Africa.
