Title: Join Hands to Promote Global Energy Interconnection

Abstract:

President Xi Jinping presented a plan for a world power grid at the General Assembly of the United Nations on September 26, 2015, anncouncing that China proposed to explore the building of a global energy net and promote the supply of clean and green power to the world. His plan has laid out a blueprint for green and low-carbon development of the world's energy, and provided a new approach for addressing climate change. To explore the principle of innovative, coordinated, green, open and shared development, we need to imiplement President Xi's initiatives and build a global energy net. That is a strategy for building the Belt and Road and the only way to promote coordinated and sustainable development of the economy, society and eco-envrionment. Global Energy Interconncection Development and Cooperation Organization is the first international body dedicated to improving global energy intnerconnection. For the next step, we will follow the mission statement—push the building of a global energy internet and promote the supply of clean and green power to the world, work hard toward the target of creating a globally influential international organization and focus on building a cooperation platform on the basis of wide consultation, joint construction, shared benefits and win-win cooperation.
