Guangzhou attracts int'l friends with open and innovative image

In order to greet Guangzhou's 2017 Fortune Global Forum which is going to be held in December, a new promotional film of Guangzhou was designed to intimately close to the world.

The video clip tiled "Guangzhou, Flower City in Bloom" has captivated netizens of America, England, Australia, New Zealand and 400 overseas media outlets. Take BBC World News as representation, it attracts 2.719 million audiences and make Guangzhou dubbed the "One of the most beautiful cities in the world".

The video clip demonstrates the attraction of an international communicative center to the world. Beginning with a passage titled "Open a Lingnan Cultural blooming window" which implies the blooming development of Guangzhou, it expresses the wishes of making friends with other countries as China's millennium business center.

Telling the history, now and future of the millennium business center, flower city and open-door city, it shows Guangzhou, as an important central city of China, the crossroads and international communicative city of the world, making the strong determination of improving the level, transportation, attraction, innovation and competition of the city as well as the wish of getting involve in the global economy. It hits the hot spot of debating in China and abroad.

Guangzhou's new promotional video made its first debut at BBC World News. The channels in North America and Europe also played the clip, spreading out a scene of prosperity to the audiences in Europe and America, increasing the familiarity and exploratory desire of audiences. After watching the clip, some audiences expressed the desire of travelling to Guangzhou.

The clip was also used as a prelude to the opening of Guangzhou's 2017 Fortune Global Forum road shows in Tokyo and Singapore in May. Watching the city's landmarks in the clip, such as kapok flower, Haizhu Lake, Zhujiang New Town, the Canton Tower, and the Pazhou Complex, super harbors, UAV light show, etc, all of the guests in the forums expressed their commendation.

Loh Siewling, a netizen in New Zealand, said, "it is unbelievable of the changes of Guangzhou in about 20 years because at present, Guangzhou looks like any modern giant metropolis in the world."

Doris King, a netizen, also said, "It is too beautiful. I have never seen such amazing buildings in cities and I love this video."

Guangzhou is the south gate of China. From ancient time, Guangzhou is one of the most significant harbors of overseas trade in China. Now, it becomes the area which represents one of the highest levels of opening and marketized in China and the "window" city in which enhancing the cooperation between China and the world.

 According to the introduction, the video clip symbolizes the beautiful, energetic, opening, inclusive and friendly temperament of Guangzhou, meaning that Guangzhou, a city dubbed the "The Flower City" as well as an important opening city in the world, is blooming. It also shows the unique elegance of the city and international talents.
