I-1 Question: How is China proceeding in seeking government openness? What will the Chinese government do to ensure that citizens, corporations, other organizations and foreigners staying in China have convenient and timely access to government information?
I-2 Question: It took China 20 years to draft and review the Supervision Law before it was finally passed. Why did it take so long? What are the distinct characteristics of the law? Can it ensure that the administrative and judicial organs are subject to effective supervision?
I-3 Question: Judges embody judicial impartiality and justice in every country. If judges are involved in corruption scandals, the general public may easily lose confidence in regard to the protection of their rights and interests. As it seeks to build a society ruled by law, what measures will China take to curb judicial corruption and ensure judicial impartiality?
I-4 Question: Some countries have long hoped that China will abandon the death penalty. On January 1, 2007, the Supreme People's Court formally resumed its role of approving all death sentences passed in China. Will this move help control the use of the death penalty?
I-5 Question: Despite the Chinese Government's anti-corruption efforts, corruption cases involving government officials have been cropping up from time to time in recent years. Does it have anything to do with China's social system? What actions will China take to prevent corruption among officials?
I-6 Question: It is said that commercial bribery has become an "underlying rule" in some industries in China and "one of the distinct features of the Chinese economy." What is the reality of this problem in China? How does it view the problem? What will it do to curb mounting commercial bribery?
I-7 Question: China is a multiethnic country. Against the backdrop of reform and opening up and the socialist market economy, how does it unite its 56 ethnic groups?
