Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Wednesday held talks with visiting Sierra Leonean Foreign Minister Samura Kamara on stronger relations.

Wang recalled how the two countries have supported each other on issues of core interests since they established diplomatic ties in 1971.

Wang said China will always be African people's trustworthy friend and partner no matter how developed China becomes.

Wang said China will work closely with Sierra Leone to build political trust, seek mutually-beneficial cooperation, enhance cultural and educational exchanges, create more areas of cooperation and turn cooperation potential into tangible results.

Kamara said Sierra Leone regards China as an important partner and appreciates China's long-term support to his country's peace, stability and reconstruction.

Kamara stressed China's strategic partner status to Africa, saying Africa will seek all-round cooperation with China.

Kamara also condemned Oct. 28 car crash in Tian'anmen Square, which was identified as a terror attack. Three people in the vehicle and two tourists, including one from the Philippines, were killed and 38 others were injured.

Kamara will conclude his four-day visit to China on Thursday.
