Following are some quotes on deepened reforms to attract overseas Chinese from political advisor Ma Jianguo, also vice chairman of Jiangsu Provincial Committee of China Zhi Gong Party, at the ongoing annual session of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee on Sunday:
-- A total of 50 million overseas Chinese serve as China's unique advantage and important resources.
-- We shall issue special identity documents for overseas Chinese to provide them the same convenience concerning children education, medical service, home purchases and entrance-exit procedures as domestic citizens to facilitate overseas Chinese returning to the motherland to live and start businesses.
-- We shall improve regulations and policies on the protection of investor rights and interests to attract overseas Chinese to return to the motherland to start businesses.
-- We shall simplify procedures, provide easier market access and adopt preferential policies such as tax breaks and financial subsidies to encourage overseas Chinese to return to the motherland and start their own businesses.
