Li Yuanchao is elected vice-president of the People's Republic of China at the fourth plenary meeting of the first session of the 12th National People's Congress (NPC) in Beijing, capital of China, March 14, 2013. [Xinhua] 

Li Yuanchao was elected vice president of China on Thursday at the annual session of the country's top legislature.

Li, born in November 1950, is currently a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee.
