China's procuratorial and poverty relief authorities plan to reduce duty crimes in poverty alleviation from 2016 to 2020, said the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) on Tuesday.

The plan targets duty crimes including bribery, embezzlement and dereliction of duty in poverty relief and rural development projects .

Improved supervision of poverty alleviation funds will ensure that they are used effectively and openly.

An information sharing system will aid collaboration on specific cases, said the document. Special attention must be paid to grass-root agencies, as most of these crimes happen in the countryside, SPP President Cao Jianming told a conference in Lanzhou, capital of northwest China's Gansu Province, on Tuesday.
