Chinese legislators will revise the law on administrative supervision to turn it into a national supervision law this year, according to a work report of the national legislature on Wednesday.
The move will provide a legal guarantee for efforts to put in place a centralized, unified, authoritative and highly-efficient national supervision system, the report of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee said.
China has begun pilot reform of supervisory system in Beijing Municipality and Shanxi and Zhejiang provinces. On this basis, China aims to establish a national supervisory commission.
The pilot work will see the establishment of local supervisory commissions at three levels -- province, city and county.
The commissions will integrate the functions of discipline inspection, supervision, prosecution and auditing in Communist Party of China, government and judicial agencies.
