China express delivery revenue up 42 pct in Jan.-Nov.

Revenue for Chinese express delivery businesses hit 182.07 billion yuan (about 30 billion U.S. dollars) in the first 11 months of 2014, up 41.6 percent year on year, data from the State Post Bureau showed on Monday.

A total of 12.32 billion deliveries were made during the same period, up 51.8 percent year on year, the data showed.

Due to promotions launched by major e-commerce giants such as Alibaba and JD.com, revenue of the sector hit 22.81 billion yuan in November, up 42.2 percent. The revenue marked a historical high in terms of monthly income.
