Jiuhua Mountain

Chizhou boasts beautiful mountains and rivers as well as various interesting landforms. The hilly land in the south, the alluvial plain of the Yangtze River in the north, and the lakes and rivers traversing the whole area combine to form an extremely picturesque landscape. There are two national nature reserves within this area: One is Shengjin Lake, an important preserved wetland in Asia, also known as China's Crane Lake; the other is Guniujiang, a national nature reserve of wild fauna and flora, which is also called the Great Animal and Plant Gene Bank in East China. In addition, the Jiuhua Mountain National Forest Park and other provincial nature reserves and scenic spots can be found in Chizhou city.
